Estudio de las bases biológicas del comportamiento y la fisiopatología de enfermedades degenerativas de gran prevalencia. Estas incluyen los trastornos adictivos (abuso de drogas), los trastornos de la alimentación (obesidad, diabetes, dislipemia), la enfermedad de Alzheimer, así como los síndromes de ansiedad y depresión, a lo largo del desarrollo y en modelos de enfermedad (comorbilidad psiquiátrica)..
